Whitening Philips Zoom
At H144 we will help you recover the natural whiteness of your teeth in a quick and efficient manner. We understand that the smile is a very important facial feature so we will study your specific case, we look for the cause of the discolouration and carry out the treatment that best suits your needs.
The discoloration or staining of teeth may occur for several reasons. Aging is a key factor, over time a deposit of pigments and other substances form on the surface of our teeth, this results in an increasing dark or stained appearance. Unfortunately, another cause can be the previous dental treatment we’ve had. For example, a common filling, it’s something both internal and external in the crown of our teeth and as such can give a darkening or stained effect.
We understand that each case is unique, so the most important thing is to identify the source of the problem, we’ll can provide preventative measures, and then we’ll whiten the teeth in the safest and most effective way possible.
We have two approaches to dental whitening:
- In Clinic – Here at H144, with us, and our best-in-class high concentration products.
- At Home – We’ll provide you with your own made to fit, custom, dental trays and you will apply the whitening product at home in your own time.
On top of the usual treatment you’d expect to find in your local clinic, at H144 we use the latest whitening technology in the Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed, it’s a light-activated device with variable intensity adjustment. It allows us to be very specific and control the level of whiteness. This technology gives us full control and you the customized result every smile deserves.
The dark appearance of a tooth can sometimes be a symptom of a problem within it, such as cavities, dental nerve necrosis, or root resorption. Other times, the cause may be a result of previous dental treatment such as a filling or root canal. At H144 you can be reassured that we will diagnose and identify the origin of the discolouration and in some cases, we may suggest internal whitening.
What is internal whitening?
This technique is based on the placement of a whitening product inside the tooth. It gradually clears the tooth through an oxidation process and eventually the tooth will recover its natural colour. For the treatment to be effective, several visits to the clinic are needed, we’ll change the potency of the whitening agent until the result is perfect. This is a non-vital tooth whitening technique that can only be performed where there is a need for endodontic treatment, or if you have an existing root canal that is in perfect condition.
This is a very popular method due to their simple and versatile nature, they’re perfect for correcting the shape, size or colour of the tooth. Porcelain veneers are fine ceramic pieces that are attached to the surface of the teeth after a simple preparation procedure.
Using this technique, we can close inter-dental spaces and even protect worn or chipped pieces that have developed over the years. The end result is an attractive and natural look to your smile.
At H144 we specialize in this type of treatment and ensure that, once finished, your veneers are even more resistant to stains than natural teeth. In addition, their resemblance to healthy tooth enamel is next to none.
This treatment consists of an aesthetic restoration made with a material called composite resin. The resin is placed, layer by layer, on the surface of the teeth to give them the desired shape.
The appearance and biomechanical properties of the resin are very similar to those of the natural tooth.
The main advantage of using this method is that it can be done in a single session with excellent results. At the same time as whitening it’s also possible to resolve dental fractures, minor problems and even alterations in shape and size.
You’ll leave H144 with your best smile after a single session!
Removable dentures are designed specifically to the size and need of each person. We use this treatment to replace absent teeth with a removable implant, that fits perfectly in to the gums.
The denture must be completely adapted to the tissue and shape of the gum, to prevent movement or discomfort. Therefore, preparation and adjustment are very important. At H144 we’ll make sure your implant is unnoticeable in terms of comfort and aesthetics.
Two types of d are used depending on whether there is total or partial tooth loss. Although their removable character may sound strange, this solution gives the advantage of being able to remove the teeth for a deep clean, and to rest the gums. When dealing with a smile that has missing tooth these dentures provide the most natural appearance and the flexibility for periodic adjustments as your jaw and existing teeth adapt or change over time.
Fixed dental Bridges
Dental bridges are fixed dentures that are cemented on to carved teeth that serve as the “pillars” for attachment. Preparation involves recontouring the teeth by removing a portion of enamel to allow room for a crown to be placed over them.
This treatment has been used for many years, but it’s losing popularity because of the safer, improved comfort and aesthetic option of veneers or implants. It’s also worth noting that the process of carving the teeth inevitably weakens the them and, in some cases, can cause other unwanted side-affects such as tenderness or pain.
Crowns are fixed, ceramic-coated dentures that are used to cover a severely damaged tooth.
Traditionally, metal was used for the base, but nowadays there are ceramic materials which are more compatible with the gum and reduce the risk or gum irritation. On top of this, ceramic materials provide a far superior natural look
